Charlotte Booth has a BA and MA from University College London in Egyptian Archaeology and is currently studying towards her PhD at the University of Birmingham. She has been a freelance Egyptologist since 2000 and has written many books on ancient Egypt including the Ancient Egyptians for Dummies, The Curse of the Mummy, and Horemheb, the Forgotten Pharaoh. She has been teaching Egyptology, Archaeology and Hieroglyphs for 15 years and has also worked for the Supreme Council of Antiquities in Cairo and the American Research Center in Egypt, at Luxor.

When not reading and writing about ancient Egypt Charlotte likes to knit, draw, collect Egyptomania items and spend time with her two cats and partner in the Wiltshire countryside, which is currently her home.
